when we were in competition in Detroit Michigan at a Blues Festival in 1990, I created this sauce as the Americans like a sopping sauce over their grilled (barbequed) food and this sauce was the one and it has molasses in it. As one of the spectators told us it tasted like “cotton candy.” This sauce was not entered into a competition. Great reviews from the public.
This sauce is excellent for glazing ham, chops, chicken and even turkey – it is also great when you add the juices from your roasts (au jus) to this sauce, cook it down, then it makes a great dip for your sandwiches (Beef Dip etc. - Please Experiment).
