GRANDMA HELEN'S MEAT & RICE DRESSING: Date Added: 30 Jun 2010

Ingredients

Canola Oil - twice around Dutch Oven
1 - lg Spanish Onion chopped
4 - cloves of Fresh Garlic minced
1/2 cup of toasted Pine Nuts (known also as Pignolia Nuts)
VALERIE'S STEAK N' CHOP SEASONING
4# - Lean Ground Beef
2 - cups Long Grain Rice (brown or white) rinsed and drained
4 - cups (1 carton) Low Sodium Beef Broth or Chicken




Cooking Instructions

PREHEAT OVEN TO 350 degrees F.
In Dutch Oven go around twice with Canola Oil over medium heat.
Add: Chopped onions to hot oil ans stir until softened.
Add: Minced garlic - blend & stir ( do not burn)
Add: Toasted pine nuts - stir
Add: 3 shakes of VALERIE'S STEAK N' CHOP SEASONING - stir
Add: Lean ground beef broken in pieces and cook until there is no more pink showing in the meat
Add: 3 shakes of VALERIE'S STEAK N' CHOP SEASONING - STIR
Add: rinsed and drained Rice in above and stir
Add: 4 cups of your choice of broth and stir
**When broth starts to bubble, remove from stove top .
**Pour contents of Dutch Oven into a roasting pan - shake pan to distrubute mixture evenly.
**Cover roasting pan tightly with aluminium foil.
**Place roasting pan on 2nd shelf from bottom of your preheated oven and bake for 45 mins.
**Turn roasting pan around and Bake for ANOTHER 45 mins.
